Under the hood there is a filter, a feature called "clean air" to prevent dirt, sand, etc. into the engine. The exhaust opening (heating / Actual cooling) inside (a) come from him and go through the same filter to get (b) the approval of others and through another filter, or (c) any other consumer and unfiltered!
